The City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, in collaboration with internationally-renowned artists Lucy + Jorge Orta, are creating a major initiative, What We Sow, which culminates on Saturday, October 5, 2013, with 70x7 The Meal, act XXXIV. This visual and performance art piece gathers people around a communal table to engage in conversation around the issues of heirloom foods and their role in creating a healthier food system for people and the environment. 70x7 The Meal, act XXXIV, free to the expected 900 guests, will feature a simple menu of heirloom produce created by Chef Marc Vetri and catered by Cescaphe Event Group. 70 x 7 The Meal, act XXXIV will take place at the Municipal Services Building, Thomas Paine Plaza, between Broad & 15th Streets and Arch Street & JFK Boulevard.at 4 - 6:30 p.m. on October 5, 2013. Rain date is Sunday, October 6.
