Blue Cadet wins an ADDY Award

The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program is thrilled to announce that Blue Cadet won an ADDY award last night for the creation of our website, “Peace is a Haiku Song”, which honors Philadelphia’s first poet laureate, Sonia Sanchez, and her belief in the power of haiku as a vehicle for peace and urban transformation.  The award-winning site allows users to write and submit their own haiku to this unique mural project. A selection of the haiku posted on to the site will be featured in mini murals across Philadelphia, which will lead to the larger mural along South Broad Street.

Blue Cadet is known for creating compelling websites that grab the attention of its intended audiences. The young agency has received recognition from other competitions, earning a CSS Award this year and becoming   a finalist at the SXSW International Awards.

The ADDY Award is the only advertising competition that judges entrants on three different levels; local, regional and national.  The competition is open to marketing, advertising, and interactive agencies. When an agency wins a level, they continue on to the other stages of the competition.
