The Roots Mural Project: Fourth Friday at 641 with Tatyana Fazlalizadeh
Friday, April 27
6 – 8 p.m.
327 South Street

Join visual artist Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, one of the muralists on The Roots Mural Project, for a curated exhibition of her work at our new space in the South Street Headhouse District. Fazlalizadeh uses oil on canvas to bring depth to thought-provoking portraits of those who live in the margins of society–the underrepresented, disenfranchised–and others who cannot speak for their rights. In addition to her Get Angry series and selected works, Fazlalizadeh has developed a series of pop, cultural, and political illustrations of icons like President Barack Obama, Questlove, Janelle Monáe, Kanye West, Zora Neale Hurston, and more.

afroDJiak provides the beats, and we’ll also have food, drink, and an artist meet-and-greet at this fun, FREE event.
