Guild Graduation & FDR Park “Butterfly Lakes” Mural Dedication

The Guild is a paid apprenticeship program through Mural Arts Philadelphia that offers formerly-incarcerated individuals and young adults on probation the opportunity to develop job skills through work on creative projects like mural-making and carpentry. A cohort of the Guild will celebrate their graduation at FDR Park. This cohort has been working on a mural called Butterfly Lakes by Serena Saunders throughout their program. This is a celebration of the mural’s completion as well as the interior renovation done by Mural Arts’ previous Guild cohort.  The Guild is funded by Armstrong Foundation, Berkowitz Family Foundation, Connelly Foundation, City of Philadelphia, Fierce Advocacy Fund, Julia & David Fleischner, Hess Foundation, Independence Foundation, The Lenfest Foundation, Patricia Kind Family Foundation, PECO Energy, Frank & Ann Reed, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and Wells Fargo.
