What We Do

The Mural Arts Program creates over 100 community murals each year engaging thousands of residents in the mural-making process.

The Mural Arts Program provides free, quality art education programs serving nearly 2,000 at-risk youth annually at neighborhood sites throughout the city.

The Mural Arts Program provides programs in restorative justice serving youth and adult offenders in local prisons and rehabilitation centers and using the restorative power of art to break the cycle of crime and violence in our communities.

Murals are just the beginning for the Mural Arts Program. We are also moving "off the wall" to create special projects that are richer and more complex—Gateway projects, public sculpture, art along major commercial corridors, and a range of creative projects to transform this city, and its residents, through art. And we will continue to help towns, cities and countries from across the globe hoping to replicate our success.
