Let’s Have Coffee!

Join us for “Let’s Have Coffee!”: We hope to build an opportunity for local residents, and allies, to share their knowledge and create a resident-centered context for the various projects forming in North Philadelphia. The teach-in allows all of us to learn about and discuss the community-led happenings around the neighborhoods that also address important pressures. Groups from North Philadelphia will discuss issues of gentrification, heat islands, and school closures. How have communities been affected by these issues and what are they doing to confront them?

Co-hosted by the North Philly RCO, Collaborative HACE, North Philly community change agents, and Kensington Wellness Initiative.

“Tomemos un Cafe!”: Esperamos construir una oportunidad para los residentes locales, y aliados, para compartir sus conocimientos y crear un contexto centrado en los residentes para los diversos proyectos que estan formando en Filadelfia del Norte. La enseñanza nos permite a todos aprender y discutir los acontecimientos liderados por la comunidad en los barrios que también abordan presiones importantes. Grupos del norte de Filadelfia discutirán temas como la gentrificación, las islas de calor y cierres de escuelas. ¿Cómo han afectado estas cuestiones a las comunidades y qué están haciendo para afrontarlas?
