SHOT: We The Mothers

Join us for a public exhibition of the incredibly powerful SHOT – We the Mothers – Philadelphia, a photographic documentary by photographer Kathy Shorr featuring 51 mothers who have lost children to gun violence in the Philadelphia Area. The women have been photographed at locations of their choice, which holds a special meaning to their child. Photographs of mementos from the children are also included in the project. The text associated with the project are from the mothers’ social media posts, unfiltered in their descriptions of what they are facing. In honor of Mother’s Day, come and experience stories of deep resilience. The project will be displayed at Dare to Imagine Church, located at 6610 Anderson Street.
