Ride Out Mural Dedication

RIDE-OUT is a celebration of Philadelphia ride culture and its community connections. The mural acknowledges all forms of riding: motorbikes, ATVS, horseback and bicycle riding as a constructive way to travel, learn about the city and a way to fellowship with others. With bold, bright and dynamic colors Ride Out will anchor a multigenerational rite of passage, honor the form and legacy of ride culture and its intrinsic connection to Philadelphia Black history. This design was created by MZ.ICAR a black art collective based in Philadelphia, and is slated for Spring Installation. The mural project will feature a film screening about riding in Philadelphia as well as other ways for community members to learn about riding history and practice.

While we warmly invite everyone to join us this Saturday for the dedication of Ride Out by MZ.ICAR, ATTENDEES SHOULD NOT BRING ILLEGAL VEHICLES, INCLUDING DIRT BIKES AND ATVS. Mural Arts Philadelphia firmly opposes the use of illegal vehicles. We encourage you to enjoy the documentary film, appreciate the mural, and engage with the remarkable Philadelphians who contributed to this project. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
