Black History Month Group Art Show at Hyatt Centric Philadelphia: Hear the Makers
On Wednesday, February 26, the Hyatt Centric will host a unique Hear the Makers discussion panel with the exhibited artists in one of its second floor meeting rooms from 6 pm to 8 pm. Gain insight into the creative processes and inspirations of the featured artists during a discussion moderated by Elizabeth Wellington of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Featured Artists:
Shawn Theodore – Award-winning photographer exploring identity and culture.
Jordan Plain – Multidisciplinary artist blending poetry and abstract art.
Yannick Lowery – Collage and animation artist weaving historical and personal narratives.
Emilio Maldonado – Mixed-media artist reflecting on material culture and belonging.
Shakira Hunt – Photographer examining identity and emotional healing.
This free event is open to the public and runs through mid-March, providing a platform to experience and celebrate the depth and creativity of Philadelphia’s Black artists.
