Engaging Women and Girls of Color (EWGOC) Initiative Paint Day

Help us bring a mural from the Engaging Women and Girls of Color (EWGOC) Initiative to life! Join Mural Arts Philadelphia, Mt. Vernon Manor CDC, The Mantua Urban Peace Garden, and Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS) for an outdoor paint day at Mantua Urban Peace Garden’s Annual Harvest Festival, with food, activities, and community from 12-4 pm.

Grab a brush and help artist Michele Pierson paint panels of the mural, which will uplift the voices of women and girls of color in Philly, and represent the power of collective stories of resilience in addressing systemic disparities in health, income, education, and politics.

About the Engaging Women and Girls of Color (EWGOC) Initiative

The EWGOC Initiative is a community-driven platform that aims to invest in, collaborate with, and promote grassroots organizations across Philadelphia that support women and girls, with a focus on addressing disparities at the intersections of behavioral health and four critical areas: income gap, holistic health, educational attainment, and political leadership.
