Kensington Storefront Exhibition Opening: Common Thread

Mural Arts’ Porch Light program hosts Common Thread, an exhibition of collaborative artwork made by the staff artists and participants of the Color Me Back Program. Created by various artists working on different art projects, all the artwork in the exhibition was made to emphasize community engagement and participation while leaving room for individual expression. Made in a safe environment of communal art making and conversation, each piece of art contains the work of many individuals. Inspired by the thread we have in common and the support we give each other, the exhibition celebrates the connection between the artists, participants, people, and organizations in the community.
