Lighting Ceremony at Love Park

Join us for a Lighting Ceremony in celebration of David Guinn’s latest project with Mural Arts Philadelphia at “The Love Shack” shipping container in Love Park. Then stay for pay-as-you-go local brews and food from Broad Street Brewing Beer Garden and dance the night away with free salsa and bachata with Siempre Salsa.

David Guinn has completed about 40 murals for Mural Arts Philadelphia in the last two decades. His early works showcase a geometric style as seen in Crystal Snowscape at 629 S. 10th Street. Later, he developed a style that approximated watercolors but on a large scale, seen in Autumn Revisited at Fleisher Art Memorial. In 2020 he worked with light designer Drew Billiau on Electric Philadelphia, located on 6th Street between Wood and Race Streets. The finished 8,500-square footwork must be seen both during the day and at night to be fully appreciated. At Love Park we will celebrate the latest iteration of this concept with a new lighted mural work!
