Morris Animal Refuge Mural Paint Day

Mural Arts and Morris Animal Refuge are partnering on a new mural that continues a twenty-year partnership. Philadelphia-based artist, David Guinn, has created a new mural that will be unveiled at a mural paint day at Morris’ headquarters. This new mural is an extension of the original mural David created over twenty years ago, which was fully restored in 2021. The mural wraps around to the front of the building keeping in line with the same theme of animals playing in a park together waiting for their families to arrive or for new residents to find their furever homes. The paint day is open to the public and no prior experience is necessary.

This year is Morris Animal Refuge’s 150th anniversary so join us as we celebrate them being America’s first animal welfare facility and 150 years of saving lives and finding homes for in-need animals!

Note: Parking will not be available in the adjacent lot, and Lombard Street will be closed from 12th to 13th Streets. Please use public transportation or find alternative parking. In case of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, June 9th.
