The Stories of Olney Mural Dedication

Join us for the dedication of a new mural by  artist Winnie Sidharta Ambron. The Stories  of Olney depicts the diversity, brilliance  and vision of the people of Olney. Included  within are familiar faces that contribute to  the neighborhood’s rich culture, along with  scenes of joyful communities in nature, sharing  food, and enjoying time with one another. The  main composition references Afro Caribbean  quilts, Korean Bojagi, and Khmer, Thai and  Vietnamese woven textiles, while the border  displays distinctive architectural structures  that people love and associate with the place  they call home.
