Industrious Light: Baldwin Locomotive Works

Industrious Light: Baldwin Locomotive Works by artist Phillip Adams is located in the Logan Square neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Baldwin Locomotive Works, and the allied industries that supported locomotive manufacturing, occupied 32 acres just east of this mural, ensuring jobs, technical advances, and the growth of Philadelphia and our nation. Before Baldwin Locomotive Works, this land was a territory of the Lenni Lenape who are symbolized by the turtle in the foreground of the mural.
