100 Years at Milton Hershey School

100 Years at Milton Hershey School by artist Jared Bader is a series of 45 4′ x 4′ murals commissioned by the school to celebrate its centennial in 2009. The panels are installed along a walkway at the school, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
The Milton Hershey School was founded in 1909 by Milton Hershey and his wife Catherine. Hershey’s goal for the school was to give the students access to some of the same opportunities that lead him to be successful in business. Each mural is painted after a photograph taken during the schools one hundred year history and serves to cap off the first century of its existence. It was designed in collaboration with students and staff. Over 1000 students also helped paint the panels.
Location Note: Interior mural located in the Founder’s Hall Skybridge and may not be accessible for public viewing.
