African Bridges

African Bridges by artist Eliseo Art Silva is located in the East Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is painted on the side of the The Lotus Academy, an independent, private, African-centered school founded in 1974. African teachers and musicians are depicted in this mural, set to a backdrop of a lotus flower-filled pond. These images are topped with some of the most significant architectural features of the African continent, like the Pyramids of Giza, and the Sphinx.

Location Note: Significant portions of this murals have been painted over leaving only the top half currently visible.
