Inspiring Students to Become Productive Life Long Learners

Inspiring Students to Become Productive Life Long Learners by artist Cesar Viveros is painted on an interior wall of the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Harrisburg, PA. This mural was created as a celebration of the arts in Pennsylvania school and unveiled by then-Governor of Pennsylvania Edward G. Rendell. Rendell, while mayor of Philadelphia, was responsible for converting the City’s Anti-Graffiti Network into the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program under the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. During the unveiling Rendell had this to say about arts education “Providing a strong arts curriculum in our schools allows students to express themselves creatively and gives them the necessary outlet to become better overall people.”
