Garden in the City

Garden in the City by artist David McShane was located in the Center City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This mural was created in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Philadelphia Green Program, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s acclaimed urban greening program. It is a tribute to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society whose Philadelphia Green program works with community organizations to reuse abandoned properties and turn them into community gardens. Philadelphia Green is a beneficiary from the funds from the annual flower show. Mural Arts Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society have worked together since 1995.
