East Passyunk Historical Street Scenes

East Passyunk Historical Street Scenes by artist Jared Bader is painted on four walls in a parking lot in the East Passyunk Crossing neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The murals depicts historic scenes with contemporary additions from the 1920s and 1940s highlighting the present and history of South Philadelphia architecture and the distinct way that Passyunk Avenue intersects with other streets, most notable the influence of the Italian Renaissance.
The mural on the left wall was developed from a 1919 photo taken at the intersection of 9th Street and Passyunk Avenue. The mural on the right began as a 1949 photo taken at the juncture of Passyunk Avenue, McKean and Broad Streets.
