Education is the Torchlight of Civilization

Education is the Torchlight of Civilization by artists Peter Pagast is located in on an interior wall of the Camelot Academy in the Brewerytown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural consists of portraits of four famous Philadelphia natives: professional dancer Judith Jamison; professional boxer Bernard Hopkins; lawyer and activist Cecil B. Moore; and educator Dr. Ruth Hayre. These individuals represent just a few of the many famous and influential individuals to grow up in Philadelphia.
