Cancer Support For Life

Cancer Support For Life by artists Cesar and Efrain Viveros was located in Sharswood neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This mural captured the mission of The Wellness Community of Philadelphia: to help people with cancer and their loved ones enhance health and well-being by providing a professional program of emotional support, education, and hope. The mural illustrates some of the services provided by the Wellness Community of Philadelphia, including exercise stress management, retreats & conferences, nutrition workshops, social gatherings, support groups and expressive art, and more. The artists have interwoven the themes of hope, longevity and re-birth, as symbolized by pear trees, cranes, a garden and butterflies. Students from Girard College assisted with the painting of this mural.
