In My Future

In My Future by artist Eric Okdeh is located on an interior wall of the Logan/Olney E3 Center in the Logan neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. E3 which stands for Empowerment, Education, and Employment, is a neighborhood based program which helps out of school youth and youth returning from juvenile placement to achieve long-term career, and personal goals. This mural, which features both painted and mosaic elements, presents E3’s mission in visual form showing portraits of participants talking about where they would like to be in 10 years. The importance of community, studying, and hard work are also prominently displayed on the wall creating an inspiration and achievable message.
