Jungle Joy

Jungle Joy by artists Cathleen Hughes and Harvey Weinrich is located in the interior of the Bache-Martin School in Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This mural brings the vibrancy of the jungle into the halls of the Bache-Martin School. The walls are lined with colorful birds squawking, dancing around, their feathers moving a viewers eye from one to the next. Only leaving the viewer to be surprised when they look up and see the mural continuing above. Each part of this mural is painted to do what its title suggests: bring joy to the students, filling their day with color and movement from class time, to passing time, and lunch.
