Tribute to Charles Fuller

This mural honors Philadelphia native and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Charles Fuller. The artwork in the Francisville neighborhood of North Philadelphia was a result of Martinez pulling from conversations with Mighty Writers students and the Fuller family around Mr. Fuller’s Pulitzer-winning play, A Soldier’s Play. The result was a design to inspire young writers of today and honor the city’s history of playwriting excellence.
