Hanging Garden

Hanging Garden by artist Kien Nguyen is located on the second story of a business at the border between the Fairmount and Spring Garden neighborhoods in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural was created in partnership with local organizations including the Fairmount CDC, Fairmount Civic Association, Spring Garden CDC, property owners and neighborhood residents. Nguyen based his design on community members’ request for an abstract botanical design. He was also inspired by the architectural decorations in the neighborhood and the idea of the floral window box.
