Motivation High School

Motivation High School by artists Samuel E. Byrd and Lee Behl was painted in the interior of Motivation High School formerly located in the now-closed Thomas Buchanan Read School in the Eastwick neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Painted on an interior wall this idyllic nature scene shows students at play and relaxing among flowers, a small creek, and animals. Flying over the scene is a large aircraft suggesting the nature scene is a short distance away from a city perhaps Philadelphia. It becomes a small escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life and a place of learning for the students.
