Tribute to the Italian-Americans of Tacony

Tribute to the Italian-Americans of Tacony by artist Karl Yoder is located in the Tacony neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A tribute to the many Italians who immigrated to the US in the early part of the 20th Century and particularly in the Tacony section of Northeast Philadelphia, this mural features the faces of men, women, and children who make up a portion of this community. Standing in front of a church and a municipal building under an Italian and US flag, this mural emphasizes that the Italian American community has a presence in the wellbeing of the community at personal, political, and spiritual levels.
