Limitless

Limitless is a mural at George Washington High School (GWHS) dedicated to the unlimited potential of the students who grace the classrooms and halls of the school. Limitless was conceived in collaboration with GWHS students who contributed ideas and images related to growth and expansion, as well as assisting in painting the mural. The mural features a dense array of various elements, including floral forms, seed-like shapes, expansive linear forms, as well as a series of my ‘glyphs’ all cascading across the wall surface signifying movement and growth. The mural was conceived at the outset of the project as a collaborative effort with the students. The artist worked to ensure student participants in the Art Education course, led by Brad Carney, had agency in what they helped create and that the mural reflected the day to day experiences of students at the school.
