Street Knowledge

Street Knowledge by artist Gabe Tiberino is one of three murals along Ridge Avenue (between French and Diamond Streets) in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This series of murals were developed in collaboration with the local community and are designed to reflect the neighborhood. Artists Gabe Tiberino, Shawn Theodore, and Destiny Palmer worked with residents to learn the history of the area and create their interpretation of what was important to those who live there.

Gabe Tiberino’s Artist Statement:

“One thing I wanted to get through to people’s heads is that knowledge is power. That idea is really important and simple – it gets right to the point. I grew up not too far from Strawberry Mansion and it means everything to be a part of projects like this that beautify my city.”
