Summer Garden

Summer Garden by artist Sarah McEneany was located in the Hartranft neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Full of sunflowers and other vegetation this mural takes its namesake seriously presenting a sunlight garden in the middle of a city. High walls surround the garden giving it a secluded feel and allowing the cats and dogs painted among the plants to play unabashedly without a worry in the world. Behind the walls soar the tall towers of an buildings of industry. The mural provides a small moment of tranquility for the neighborhood.
