Seatbelts Save Lives

Seatbelts Save Lives by artist Nathaniel Lee honors Sebastian Plummer and Michael Jacoby, who lost their lives when they were thrown from a vehicle in a serious car accident in June 2020. Had they been wearing their seatbelts, they would probably be alive today. Karen Bush, mother of Sebastian Plummer, is on a personal campaign to bring seat belt awareness to others and is developing programming for schools. A mural honoring the lives of the young men is located on exterior wall of the James Ramp Memorial Recreation Center. The wall faces Solly Avenue, across the street from Father Judge High School, where both Sebastian and Michael were students and players on the football team. The hope is that this mural will not only honor these two young men who lost their lives but also encourage others to always wear their seatbelts.
