Seeking Peace in Unity

Seeking Peace in Unity by artist Paris Stancell is located on the rear of the Tilden Middle School. The original mural features two images one on the left, the other on the right framed in blue. The left image consists of differently colored hands reaching out for each other over the backdrop of a city skyline. The right image is a singular hand reaching towards the left image across a green color field illuminated by an abstract sun. Together these two images seek to come together across the blue frame striving to unify through connection.

Location Note: This mural is on the exterior of a school building, and therefore not accessible for public viewing. Half of the mural was obscured between 2014 – 2017.
