Ibi Padrón Venegas

Ibi Padrón Venegas is an emerging latino artist with a focus on murals, 2D artworks, and metal sculpture. Believing art should be habitually integrated in our communities and cultural infrastructures, their practice thrives in public artwork and collaborative projects. At their core, Ibi is an investigator who is always asking why and how, eager to reach a deeper fascination. Inspired from a very young age by natural sciences, the oddities of our universe, and their own vivid dreams, their art is often a manifestation of their curiosity and awe of the bizarre. For this reason, the subjects of their work often feel otherworldly, creature-like and at times, of magical nature. The ultimate intention of their work is to preserve our sense of magic, wonder, and whimsy.
