Hoodstock 2018 Festival Mural

This series of graffiti and street art murals was created by artists as part of a live-paining event at the 2018 Hoodstock Festival, an event from Philly Urban Creators. For this collaboration with The Village of Arts and Humanities and Mural Arts Philadelphia, graffiti legend Cornbread (Darryl McCray) took over the wall at 12th and York Streets, with a full roster of street artists, including: Donald Stevens, Emily Rogers, Eric LcLaurin, Randy Bullock, Aerosol Illusions, Stephane Acevedo and Jeshima Devine. Artists worked on sections of the wall throughout the day, creating public art for the community to enjoy around the theme of “tremendous symbolism.” During the event, the adjacent Fotterall Square Park was activated with family-friendly activities, including face painting and a community paint day.
