David Lynch Tribute

This dedication celebrates a project by artist Dennis McNett, assisted by participants in the Rec Crew. The mural, There is Trouble ‘Til the Robins Come, is a Tribute to filmmaker David Lynch, who passed away in January. While a student at PAFA in the late 1960s, Lynch lived in the neighborhood, which he used as inspiration for his first full-length film, Eraserhead.

After dedication attendees are invited to join others inside Love City Brewing for Trivia with Will Walker which will include a few trivia questions about David Lynch’s filmography, which includes: Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Dune, Mulholland Drive and the TV Series Twin Peaks. Elements from all of these can be found in the mural. The edges of the mural are not cut straight but intentionally extend past the edges like Lynch’s unbound imagination and subconscious mind.
