Nile Gardens and Café Mural Installation and Cultural Placemaking Event

This community engagement event will include the unveiling and installation of a seven-panel mural by artist Ras Ammar Nsoroma depicting the story of Ausar and Auset (Osiris and Isis).  This mural not only serves as a beautiful artistic installation but also aims to educate the community about the transformative power of art in shaping character and nurturing healthy communities.

Mural arts will collaborate on a communal workshop around the mural installation to foster deeper engagement with the community while also providing educational opportunities for both children and adults. These workshops explore themes of empowerment, creativity, and cultural heritage. The event, which takes place at Nile Gardens and Café in Germantown also features workshops, an art vendor market, cultural educational and creative placemaking.
