The Civil Rights Mural

The Civil Rights Mural by artist Benita Ambrose was located across from a church in Philadelphia’s Point Breeze neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once spoke. It was created by the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network, precursor to the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program.

Location Note: Mural no longer on view at this location (replaced with reenvisioned mural at the same site in 2002).
