The Porch

The Porch by artist John Page was located in the Cedar Park Neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural celebrates the prevalence, presence and beauty in private and community gardens in Philadelphia. This mural depicts an idyllic porch overlooking trees and shrubs, with the outline of other houses in the distance. A table and two chairs sit on the porch. A few fresh cut flowers in a vase on the table signal to the viewer that a gardener is nearby. The viewer can see just the top half of the gardener in the lower right corner of the mural overlooking their porch as they walk up the steps.
