The History of Grays Ferry (Bridge of the Past)

The History of Grays Ferry by artist Josh Sarantitis is painted on two walls located in the Grays Ferry neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mural on the left depicts the first bridge to cross over from Grays Ferry. It is done in a woodcut style. The second mural on the right depicts a girl looking back into the past holding a plant in front of the newer Grays Ferry Bridge of today. It contrasts the present industrial setting with a more idyllic past when this area was less developed.
