Mural Arts Fest at The Oval this past weekend was a resounding success!  Hundreds of people came out to help us kick off Mural Arts Month 2025.  Thank you to all of the artists, performers, vendors and community organizations who help to make the day a vibrant celebration of the Voices of Philly!

Thanks to our Mural Arts Fest Sponsors for a successful event!

The day revved up with a special movement activity led by Lululemon and Together Athletics. There was fun for all ages, with kid-friendly activities such as face painting, button and friendship bracelet making, coloring, and a bounce basketball area.

It wouldn’t be a Mural Arts event without some murals! The Fest featured live mural painting by local emerging artist Andre Chaney, along with artists Nevaeh Ryals and WET, as well as an outdoor gallery of art for sale by artists from the Mural Arts Restorative Justice Program.

In addition to the performances, the event hosted a vendor marketplace where local small businesses, organizations, and creatives showcased their merchandise.

Local organizations from across the city came out and shared information. Thanks to SpArc Philadelphia, 35s13th artist collective, Temple TechOWL, Asian Americans United, Philadelphia Museum of Art and Indivisible Philadelphia for sharing your voices.

Mural artist King Saladeen, who created the current ground mural at The Oval, Dream Big, was on hand with his nonprofit group, CMI (Create, Motivate, Inspire), and some of the mural project team for make-and-take art activities and fun giveaways.
