By the People, For the People: Get Involved with Monument Lab

Monument Lab, one of our major fall projects, is launching soon—an unprecedented series of temporary installations in Philadelphia’s iconic public squares and neighborhood parks, in partnership with 21 local and international artists, installing at 10 different locations over nine weeks starting in September 2017—phew!
You’ll get an appetizer for this monumental feast at a special preview event in July, but until then, you can whet your appetite with an array of perks and rewards through our Kickstarter page. Starting at a tax-deductible $5, get access to an in-depth, one-hour audio interview with curators Paul Farber and Ken Lum, and we’ll digitally engrave your name on the Monument Lab website Wall of Thanks. Grab an enamel “By the People, For the People” pin for your jean jacket for only $15, and flaunt that flair on a matching tote bag for $25.
Decorate your living room with Kickstarter-exclusive, curator-signed, limited-edition posters, or a geometric, black-and-white signed print from artist Shira Walinsky. For anyone with spring fever, we’ve got four varieties of outdoor, curator-hosted project tours, a studio visit with Sharon Hayes, and even a beatmaking session with artist Kara Crombie. Take home a mini-monument from Karyn Olivier, or get fancy and take your favorite person to “Promument.”
Investing in Monument Lab is your chance to get involved, but your donation will also support “open hours” and free or low-cost public programming at our project hubs. At a polarizing time in American history, we’re more inspired than ever to create work that engages different communities and stimulates dialogue, and we need your help.
