Mural Arts Month is wrapping up this week, but we still have tons of great events in store. Make your week an art-full week with us!

Marvelous Manayunk

Have you wandered the Manayunk Tow Path lately? The verdant thoroughfare is blossoming with art. Paul Santoleri’s Concrete Trees is the newest addition to the path, and you can celebrate the vibrant new images with us on Tuesday evening at 5 p.m.

Politics + Art

Dive into the politics of street art, printmaking, and public art on October 26 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Curator Pedro Alonzo moderates a panel of international artist-activists at the PMA: Marcos RamĂrez Erre (Tijuana/San Diego), Rosario MartĂnez Llaguno of Lapiztola (Oaxaca), and Joe Boruchow (Philadelphia).

Tacony takes center stage

On Thursday, take a trip to Tacony and discover the history and art of this Northeast neighborhood. Tour the new Tacony fresco, explore the Shuman-inspired solar parklet, and see an exhibition full of art made by Tacony-ans.

On October 28, help us dedicate Eric Okdeh’s new mural, Contemplation, Clarity, Resilience. Take a midday break and hear the stories behind this meaningful mural—plus, refresh yourself with therapeutic event activities, featuring art, animals, and music.

On Sunday, discover Jon Rubin’s 9th Street Stock Exchange with an in-depth tour of the market and the participating businesses. Curator Theresa Rose leads this special look at the cultural ecosystem fostered by the project, with a tour conducted in both English and Spanish.
