African Market Day

African Market Day, a painting of expression by Abu Fofana, is inspired by rural traders. The painting focuses on a hub for cultural commerce, with a large group of traders selling products gathered from farms. At this point, they build relationships and share stories.

The mural, located in Philadelphia’s Kingsessing neighborhood, was designed by Abu Fofana and painted by Parris Stancell.
