AIDS Southwest

AIDS Southwest by artist Paris Stancell is located in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Featuring a number of brightly adorned women in various poses, this mural presents a scene dedicated to remembering and helping those living with HIV and AIDS. Medical advances over the years have drastically improved the quality of life these individuals lead. While murals like this may not assist in a medical capacity, they do increase awareness and help to reduce the stigma associated with it.
