Amor del Bueno

Amor del Bueno by artist Cesar Gonzales is located in Las Parcelas park in the West Kensington/Norris Square neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The park is connected to Afro-Latinx community organizers Groupo Motivos, a group with deep connections to Mural Arts Philadelphia’s predecessor, the Philadelphia Anti-Graffiti Network (PAGN). Working closely with the Norris Square community, Gonzales designed this mural to lift up and translate the work of Groupo Motivos for new generations. The work features portraits of the founding members of Groupo Motivos surrounded by native flowers emblematic of Puerto Rico and lists the names of group members over the years. Amor del Bueno replaces an earlier PAGN mural (Wall of Community Heroes) that was installed in 1991.
