Behold the Open Door

Behold the Open Door by artist Jonathan Laidacker is located in Girard Park neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The design of the mural is a re-interpretation of Renaissance master Raphael’s 1510 fresco School of Athens located in the Apostolic Palace at the Vatican. The theme of the mural is all about restorative justice which is a form of criminal justice focused on repairing and reintegrating ex-criminal offenders back into society at large.
