Believe, Hope, Dream

Believe, Hope, Dream is the 5th mural Betsy Casañas has created with Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM). The mural has a simplified image of a family inspired by APM’s logo. APM strives to help families and individuals, of diverse cultural backgrounds, reach their highest potential. The flower repeated in the image is inspired by a close up of a flower that grows on the Flamboyant tree found in the Caribbean. The image of this tree can be found in many traditional paintings by various artists of Puerto Rico. Today APM serves a very diverse community but was founded decades ago by seven Puerto Rican community activist, when a large population of Puerto Ricans migrated to United States and were being misdiagnosed because of the language barrier.
