Charnae Wise Memorial Garden

Mural Arts Philadelphia and artist Parris Stancell are honored to join with the community to celebrate the updated mural honoring Charnae Wise, a 5-year-old victim of extreme child abuse and neglect.

The community rallied to memorialize their young neighbor by creating the community garden and mural over 20 years ago. Now Charnae’s legacy continues as community members reaffirm their commitment to keeping the Charnae Wise Memorial Garden a safe space for children to grow with their community.
