Defending Our Honor

Defending Our Honor depicts the American Flag in honor of local veterans. The mural was created with the support of the residents of the neighborhood and the Veteran’s Memorial Post (VFW7650).

The mural is located in Ward Memorial Park, named for local resident Patrick Ward, who was killed in the Vietnam War. The park is a gathering spot for the community and a service is held there every Memorial Day.
